Several weeks ago, I told you that the flu virus can increase your risk of having a heart attack. But that’s not all the virus can cause. There’s growing evidence that the influenza virus can cause Guillain-Barré Syndrome, an illness that causes tingling and numbness in the extremities.
Most cases of Guillain-Barré Syndrome are acute, meaning it’s temporary. In addition to the tingling and numbness, the inflammation of the peripheral nerves can lead to muscle weakness and, in more serious cases, complete paralysis and breathing difficulty. It’s not an illness you want to contract.
Obviously, prevention is the best course of action. I’ve given you several ways to prevent the flu, including vitamin D, flavonoids and probiotics, and EpiCor. Taking all of these can keep your immune system in tip top shape, and you will likely avoid the flu – and Guillain-Barré Syndrome – altogether.
You also should avoid the flu shot, as more and more cases of the vaccine are causing Guillain-Barré Syndrome. The number of cases is still relatively low – about one or two per million shots, according to the CDC. But that’s only the cases we know the vaccine caused. We don’t know how many weren’t reported or weren’t directly connected to the vaccine. But the evidence is clear that the vaccine can cause the illness.
So what happens if you do contract Guillain-Barré Syndrome? What should you do?
Fortunately, there are some treatments that can help with Guillain-Barré Syndrome. Of course, if your symptoms are serious, you need to get to a hospital quickly, as the breathing difficulty can become life threatening. Hospitals do have medications that can save your life and help in the acute stage of the illness.
You’ll need to find a doctor who uses homeopathy. When allopathic medicine can’t do anything, homeopathy oftentimes can. And Guillain-Barré Syndrome is one illness where homeopathy has had good success.
Take Sarah for example. She’s an eight-year-old girl who contracted Guillain-Barré Syndrome. Her case became chronic, resulting in poor muscle power, difficulty in getting up, walking, writing, and reduced mobility in her fingers and her hip joint. Her energy levels were low and she became fatigue very easily.
Her doctor gave her Causticum 200 C. She took it three times a day. The healing wasn’t fast. But by the eighth month of treatment, all the effects of the illness were gone. She had recovered completely.
